Recommended Web Hosting for Divi Theme
First I’d like to mention that there are also “managed” WordPress hosting companies like e.g. Page.ly or WPengine.com. Managed WordPress web hosting providers like these automatically update your WordPress version for you, your theme(s) and plugin(s). They are also optimized for WordPress. However, I have heard that e.g. WPengine disables your caching plugin if you install it on your WordPress website. Another disadvantage of managed WordPress hosting is that it is quite expensive. For example Pagely plans start at $99/mo.
However, there is also a web hosting company that offers managed WordPress hosting at affordable prices. It is SiteGround. Their plans start at just $6.99 per month. I have been with them for a few years now and am satisfied with them. I’m hosting with them all of my Divi-powered websites, including this one, on one hosting account without any problems. Also, they are a recommended hosting company for WordPress by the official WordPress website wordpress.org. They are an official Divi web host recommended by Elegant Themes as well.
SiteGround plans are highly-optimized for WordPress and offer 1-click install; auto-updates of the core and plugins; free website migration; free backups, geeky tools like WP_CLI, Staging and GIT. On top of all this they give the user more freedom – no blacklisted plugins, freedom to enable/disable caching and email hosting.
Note: The geeky features like WP_CLI, Staging and GIT and caching are not available with the cheapest $3.95/mo. plan.
Also, the SiteGround support team is trained in WordPress and provides 24/7 support on three channels available free for all plans. And the Divi theme works great with SiteGround.
So the final decision is up to you. However, if you are just starting out and are on a low-budget, I would recommend going with SiteGround. You can also upgrade to a more advanced plan later.
