My Review of the BackupBliss WordPress Plugin
In this article, I will explain to you the main features of this plugin and why you should consider using it. Here we go to my review:

1. Overview of BackupBliss – Backup & Migration with Free Cloud Storage
Like you may have already guessed from the plugin’s name, it is a WordPress backup and migration plugin. Moreover, it comes with free cloud storage of 1GB for all its users, even for those using just the free plugin. This feature definitely sets it apart from all of its competitors. Actually, BackupBliss is the first backup WordPress plugin that offers native cloud backup storage for free.
2. Free vs. Premium Version
You can go ahead and try the free version of this plugin right on the WordPress plugin repository. Here’s the link to it: BackupBliss – Backup & Migration with Free Cloud Storage
As you can see, the plugin is quite popular. It has over 90,000 installs showing on the WordPress plugin directory as of the time of writing this article (it is April 2026 now).
And as for the premium version, you will find it on BackupBliss.com, and their plans start at 45 USD yearly for 2 websites and 5 GB of cloud storage. It also comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee.
3. Key Features
- Create backups with lightning speed
- The plugin is lightweight; it has just over 1MB
- Very easy to use – great for beginners
- Quick migration with just a few clicks
- Wide range of free storage options: Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Amazon S3, pCloud & more
- Free cloud storage of 1GB of free space – a unique feature
4. Ease of Use
The plugin is very easy to use. There are not any tech skills required to be able to use it. I have been able to create a backup of my WP website with just two clicks. This is certainly not possible with other backup WordPress plugins.
It also has a very nice UI and a great UX. It is very intuitive, and if I had to choose the most user-friendly backup plugin, it would definitely be this one. You can see on my screenshots below how its interface looks:

5. Scheduled Backups
It also offers a scheduled backup feature. Just enable the automatic backup creation option in the settings of the plugin. You can create an automatic backup every day, week, or month at a particular day and particular time. You can also adjust the options to keep at least, for example, 2 backups that have been created automatically.
6. Migrations & Staging Sites
It comes with free migrations as well. And you can do them with just two clicks. And you can also create a staging site easily. The free version allows you to create a staging site on a subpath (subfolder) of your main domain. Or, if you wanted more, with the Pro version, you could create a staging website on an external server (TasteWP).
7. Other Useful Features
There are some other additional useful features of this plugin. For example, you can set up email notifications to get an email, for example, if there are any issues with the automatic backup creation. Other feature include smart exclusion rules (that can exclude post revisions, cache files, debug logs, unused themes and plugins) or selective restorations (specific files / folders / database from the backup file).
Supreme support is also offered to all users. Including the free ones on the WordPress plugin repository.
Final Verdict
Overall, I have been very pleased by this plugin. Its interface is smoothly and beautifully designed, and I must say that it is definitely the easiest WordPress backup plugin to use. Because of this, it is great for beginners as well. And the 1GB of free cloud storage that it offers is a cherry on the top.
